Today concludes the final part of the Top Ten week. This installment will feature the most random of random top tens.
Today, is the top ten random YouTube videos I could find...and like.
10. Wheel of Fortune (Speed Up/Final Spin Round)
This is one of the best 'final-spin' rounds in Wheel of Fortune. This one is from 1995 (I believe). When Pat (who spins during the final spin) hits the $5000 space, every consonant means a lot! Incidentally, (especially in later years) the final spin could make or break the game. A person that hasn't won anything the whole game, could literally comeback and beat everyone if the spin/amount is right! Here is an example.
This one from 1989 shows that even after 3 misses, Pat SaJak can still hit a home run! Check out this one...
This one from 2007 is another speed up round--a quick one to be sure...
9. Knight Rider (Classic, season 4)
This one from 1986 when KITT was able to use 2 new modes, the first being a new Convertible function and the second (which was my favorite was...) Super Pursuit Mode. This delivered a 30% boost in straight-line speed. This also altered KITT's outer appearance. (First used on the episode, 'Knight of the Juggernaut').
8. Knight Rider (2008, season 1)
This one is from 2008 when KITT was not only reborn, but TRANSFORMED! Part one...From Normal to Attack Mode
The rebirth of the Legend known as Knight Rider--this is a fan made tribute to the pilot movie
7. More Stuff I came across this week.
Most TV shows from back in the 1960s had a logo showing at the end. I am going to show you a few I came across...
Paramount was my favorite (mostly because of Star Trek). This one is a variant of the original from the 60s with a little fun added to it. The Pinball Variant is what this one is called. (Originally it came from Viacom from back in the 70s.)
Here is the original Viacom logo from the 70s.
Here is a Pinball version with color added for Viacom.
6. Wheel of Fortune (Part 2) Opening... Early 2000-2001 episode.
1985 Opening..
1985 Opening II:
5. The failed attempt to save the Automakers... How depressing is that? 4. Holiday Season 2008 (What is there to look forward to when you have less money to spend?) 3. The year is FINALLY drawing to a close. 2. I have decided to make 2009 my year. 1. Happiness comes in a variety of degrees and sizes, never discount it.
I don't get to do this often. But this year has been a doozy. One filled with ups and downs--and a lot in between. So today, I have decided to create a list of people who have been there for me and give them all a special thank you for the things you have done this year. I feel that it is important that I say some thanks because we don't give or receive thanks enough in this life.
This is in no particular order; this is in the order that I have written these down. I always you guys to know that I appreciate your friendship and I thank you for being someone I call a friend:
10. LibraryCatLady: You have been a good friend to me over the last 5 years. I remember being one of the people that trained you at Main back then. I always knew that you had potential. Rock on, and well done.
9. The Thursday Night Crew | Main Circulation: I have worked with a lot of people in my time here at Main. I wanted to take this time out to thank all of you guys to not allow Thursday nights to be boring. (This includes Keith, Greg, Tony, J-Rock, and Vee.)
8. The group known as the 'Mothers Board of Directors': Cindi, Denise, Dorothy, Vee, Shelby, and Teresa comprise this group of individuals that I work with which have one thing in common--all of them are mothers. This is one group of people that have encouraged me, made me laugh, and this is a group that I completely respect.
7. This one goes to my readers in Circulation & Home (particularly of my Sci-fi writing): Greg, Shelby and Teresa--you guys have always read my work and given me good advice on what to do with it. With that kind of encouragement, I just want to say thanks.
6. The Music Crew/Art Crew | Circ: 'Wildstyle' Andrew Williams, Tony, Greg and J-Rock (writing aspect) have all given me good ideas, or have passed along music or art my way. Thanks guys!
5. Comedy (I know I am thanking some of the same people, but I have to get this all out...): Chip, Greg (sound effects), Shelby, Teresa, Denise, Vee and several others have always found a way to turn my bad mood into a great one. Thank you all for finding a way to brighten up my day.
4. The People who I have worked for: Chip and Nick have been my bosses who I have come to rely upon for criticism and support--and the occasional ribbing.
3. The Rebuilding Phase: Tony and Shannon--if it weren't for you two I wouldn't be where I am at now...(1 year later!)
2. The Encouragers: (Yes I said it...the Encouragers--these are the people who have kept me focused this year and have at times advised me--and unwittingly encouraged me when I was down.) Pryme, Chip, Greg, Denise, Shelby, Teresa, Nick, J-Rock, Jules, and a few others that I can't immediately think of or write down, but to all of you--THANK YOU!
And most importantly-- 1. Home field: Pryme, you have been my rock, my inspiration, by best friend and so much more. There isn't enough words to spell out what you mean to me. I just want to thank you directly.
Finally, 2008 has shown a number of ups and downs all throughout. 2009 undoubtedly will be no different. Just wanted to take a moment to thank all of those who made this year a bit more bearable, fun or funnier than usual.
I am 32--a Columbus native.
My interests are diverse now that I am older and that I am evolving as a man. I also enjoy long talks about absolutely nothing at all. Small talk does interest me.
I used to love to draw and write things out on paper. I kinda miss that because once you wrote something--one could go back and erase something you've done to fix it. There were times that I loved to sit down as a kid and draw up figures and drawings of different science fiction ships and models. Now those have changed with time as I feel that now I love to write out my ideas and try to create more of it than I ever thought possible.
I try to remain open minded towards new ideas. I love to play video games, enjoy a movie or two, or just relax in a drama-free setting. I don't have time for drama, nor do I need that in my life. My time is wrapped up in my work, and making my life a little better every chance I can.
I like to write poetry (or my often understated variation of poetry), I am still in the long process of being published with a book that started in 2001. Also, I like to play pool, bowl, WWE/Wrestling and enjoy time outside of work and home.
